From a Small Shop to a Regional Leader
Our journey began when Wiley and Lois D’Spain founded a small HVAC company in Bandera. With a decade of experience at Langford Hardware & Lumber, Wiley brought a lifetime of mechanical expertise and a deep love for the Texas Hill Country to his new business. While Wiley took charge of sales and services, Lois managed the books with accuracy and integrity.
In 1975, their son, Ray, joined the team and eventually obtained licenses in electrical, HVAC, and well-pump installation. Under this family leadership, D’Spain evolved from a local shop into a regional powerhouse, relocating to a larger facility on Eleventh Street and expanding into custom water systems and electrical contracting.
A Legacy of Growth and Service
Wiley passed away in 2001, leaving a thriving legacy that Ray has continued to cultivate. What started as a two-person operation has blossomed into a team of over 40 full-time professionals and a fleet of fully equipped service vehicles.

In 2025, we were proud to join the Beyer Air Conditioning and Heating (The Beyer Boys) family. This merger united two respected Texas HVAC companies, blending our local expertise with more resources and support.
